Hello! I’m a Japan-based travel guide and local explorer living in Fukuoka, the gateway to Kyushu.
Through this blog, I share authentic travel experiences across Fukuoka and the wider Kyushu region from a local Japanese perspective. My goal is to help international travelers discover not only famous destinations, but also hidden gems, local restaurants, traditional neighborhoods, beautiful nature, relaxing hot springs, seasonal scenery, and places that are often overlooked by mainstream travel guides.
Kyushu is full of incredible experiences — from the vibrant food culture of Fukuoka and the historic streets of Nagasaki to the hot springs of Oita, the volcanic landscapes of Kumamoto, the natural beauty of Miyazaki, and the unique culture of Kagoshima.
Because I live in Fukuoka, I can share practical, up-to-date, and locally informed recommendations about where to go, what to eat, how to get around, and how to enjoy Kyushu more like a local.
If you are planning a trip to Fukuoka or exploring Kyushu beyond the usual tourist routes, I hope my guides will help you discover a deeper and more memorable side of Japan.
Welcome to Kyushu — let me show you the places locals love.
